About Legacy Studios
Hi I am Devorah Mushell, a portrait photographer based in Lakewood, NJ. My life-long love of photography was inspired by my father, who was an accomplished and talented hobbyist. Some of my earliest and most beautiful childhood memories are from behind the lens. Over the years, I have continued to explore and hone my skills, and my passion ultimately evolved into a full-fledged profession. I studied under two master portrait photographers, and strive to constantly further my education and stay at the cutting edge of my craft. Quality fine art portraiture involves a lot of technical expertise. From the nuances of proper portrait lighting, to the nuts and bolts of camera equipment and scenery, to artistic finesse with retouching, I make sure you leave with a beautiful finished product of the highest caliber. I'll worry about the technicalities- you can just come and enjoy the experience. My central goal in every portrait session is to ensure that the client is happy. Sessions are always relaxed, child friendly, and never timed. Children sense the lack of pressure, and this makes them comfortable enough for me to really capture their essence.
